League leaders Bayern Munich are in a terrific run of form! Coming on the back of a 10:2 aggregate thumping of Arsenal in the Champions League, the record champions will host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, looking to extend their gap over second placed Leipzig. Eintracht, on the other hand, are having a rough patch, having lost their last four games in a row. However, Niko Kovac’s side have always been sturdy against big teams this season.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Bayern Munich Lineup To Crush Eintracht Frankfurt
Manuel Neuer: It hasn’t been easy for Neuer to keep a clean sheet this season. He however still leads the league in terms of clean sheets. Against Eintracht, he will have his closest pursuer in Lukas Hradecky.
Philip Lahm: The Bayern captain is set to make his comeback after missing a couple of games through injury. He will replace Rafinha in the right back position. It will be interesting to see how he copes with a tricky Gacinovic.
Javi Martinez: With Jerome Boateng constantly out on the sideline due to injury, Javi Martinez is proving to be a handy backup for the German International. In fact, he has been Bayern Munich’s best defender so far this season. He will look to put a stop to Eintracht’s offensive progress.
Mats Hummels: The former Dortmund man didn’t have a good experience the last time out against Eintracht. He will be looking to make amends this time.
David Alaba: Alaba will start as a left back for Bayern. He won’t surely have a peaceful afternoon against the marauding Timothy Chandler of Eintracht.
Arturo Vidal: After a dominating performance against Arsenal in midweek, the Chilean will once again seek to break opposition’s rhythm in the middle with his sheer physicality and aggression. Vidal’s ability from long range will also be a handful for the SGE defence.
Thiago Alcantara: Might play a little deeper role because of the expected absence of Xabi Alonso in the Bayern midfield. He will be a key man in the transition play for the Bavarians and will use his creativity to create one or two chances for the home side.
Arjen Robben: The Dutchman continues to showcase his talent even at this age. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid has once again been the star performer for Bayern and will look to continue his impressive run of form against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Thomas Muller: Might receive a starting place because of his absence in midweek’s fixture. The German International has been woeful this season, managing only one goal in the league so far. However, the 28-year-old has been unplayable on some particular occasions so we never know what’s coming.
Franck Ribery: Ribery has been another rejuvenated player under new boss Carlo Ancelotti. Already notching up as many as seven assists and three goals, the Frenchman is surely going to provide some headache for Niko Kovac’s side.
Robert Lewandowski: Failed to keep up with Aubameyang last week, as the Polish International trail the Dortmund striker by just two goals. However, Lewandowski did score the penalty which set the tempo as Bayern strolled through Arsenal in the Champions League.
