Swansea City are still stuttering outside the relegation zone and will be looking forward to getting back to winning ways when they visit the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth. Paul Clement’s side has lost three out of the last five matches and suddenly there is a bit of panic among the Swans supporters. But they have enough matches to rescue their season and the next couple of encounters will decide their fate.
They went down 2-1 to fellow relegation rivals Hull City in the last match. They are now 16th in the Premier League, three points adrift of the relegation zone. Clement will push his team to move as high as possible on the table as a relegation scrap will be the last thing they would want especially after having spent such a long time in the dreaded zone.
They were beaten 2-3 by Bournemouth the last time they travelled to the Vitality stadium but they have a pretty good record there overall. They have won three times in the last six away trips to the Cherries and Swansea will like something similar to consolidate their place and will go all out for a win.
Predicted 4-1-4-1 Swansea lineup against Bournemouth
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will take his designated spot under the bar. The Polish custodian has been error prone at times but overall, he has been pretty decent for the Welsh club.
Alfie Mawson and Federico Fernandez will be deployed just in front of Fabianski. Mawson recently got a call-up to the England U-21 side and will be determined to justify his selection with a string of commendable displays when the international break commences.
Angel Rangel got injured in the last match and was replaced by Jordi Amat. Amat will most likely continue on the right side of the defence.
Martin Olsson is currently injured but it is expected that he will make it in time for the game.
Midfield
Jack Cork will occupy the holding midfield role and will be responsible for establishing control in the midfield which will go a long way in tilting the scales in their favour.
Leroy Fer and Tom Carroll will be further up front in the midfield.
Attack
Gylfi Sigurdsson has been the most outstanding player for the Swans and will operate from the left wing. He has assisted 11 goals which is the highest this season.
Wayne Routledge will start on the other wing.
Fernando Llorente will try to use his physicality and height up front to add some goals to his tally.
