As Leeds United failed to take all three points due to a 95th-minute equaliser from Fulham, it felt as the world was against Leeds United. However, how the times have changed, though. Now, 4 points from the last 2 matches feel like a disappointment.
The Leeds United fans were, however, having none of the blame game, though. Although every Leeds United fan on twitter was gutted (as you can see below yourself), almost everyone understood the context of tonight’s game. Although both Brighton and Huddersfield winning was a bit of a punch in the gut, everyone knew Fulham away was never going to be easy.
Fulham were always looking likely to score the equaliser ever since Leeds United took the lead through an own goal in the 5th minute. In fact, Kalvin Phillips’s red card at almost the very end made you feel that a Fulham goal was almost inevitable. However, as the seconds ticked by and just as Leeds United felt they had barely passed across the line, Green was beaten.
The Leeds fans reacted on twitter, some bemoaning their luck, some saying it is time to look upfront and not to lose sight of the bigger picture. Have a look at some of the tweets below.
Let be honest, every single one of you would of took a point tonight! #lufc

Sickening to drop 2 points like that. But then it’s a good result to say we weren’t at our best. Hope the players don’t dwell on it #lufc

Before Birmingham I expected 1 point from 6. We have 4 and a decent gap. #LUFC #ALAW #Leeds

Positives: 1 more game ticked off. Fulham, Norwich, Preston, Derby not gained any ground.
Bartley, Jansson, (Ayling) not booked #lufc— Shaun Meddings (@medds14) March 7, 2017
Good teams get points in these circumstances. Green couldn’t stop everything and was a quality goal to beat him #lufc pic.twitter.com/9LYmdGj4Yt
