Garry Monk was serenaded over and over by the visiting crowd as Leeds United took the 3-1 lead over Birmingham City to effectively kill the game. As the Leeds United fans were singing ‘Garry, don’t go Garry’ you are tempted to think this is what the Premier League needs. The passion, atmosphere, history. Everything you want at Leeds United, you get.
The visiting fans have seen a lot of managers come and go in the last decade or so but this one seems special. This one seems to be the one who can get the glory backs back to Leeds United again. And the fans? Oh they agree and you know it.
As Leeds United killed the game, the fans took on twitter to voice their opinions on what a fantastic job Garry Monk is doing. And one of the chief consensus was that Monk needed to be offered a deal. When you ask? Yesterday. For fans who felt that it could not go any worse at the start of the season, this seems like a new beginning. Maybe a shot in at automatic promotion as well if Brighton (and Huddersfield) don’t find their way soon?
Anyways the fans took to twitter to say how proud they are about Monk (and yes Leeds United as well). Have a look yourself.

Reasons why Garry Monk is a manager and not me:
He brought Philips on. Assist.
He left Hernandez on. Assist.
He brough Pedraza on. Goal.— James (@JamesLUFC) March 3, 2017
#lufc Does Birmingham’s arrest warrant for Garry Monk for stealing 3 points, hold jurisdiction in West Yorkshire? @LUFC_WYP
