After a thrilling win over the Hammers last week, the Cherries will be hosting Swansea City next at the Vitality Stadium, who sit two places below them in the 16th position. Bournemouth hold a good home record against the Swans and are clear favourites going into the game.
Team News
Bournemouth- Centre-half Tyrone Mings still remains suspended for the game as he serves his five-match ban for stepping on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in their hard-fought draw at Old Trafford two weeks back.
Among doubts for the game would be Bournemouth’s most important player Harry Arter. The 27-year-old suffered a mild hamstring in their last win over West Ham United and is unlikely to feature in this game. Andrew Surman returns from his suspension to replace him alongside Dan Gosling.
Among the three long-term injuries, left winger Junior Stanislas is expected to return early next month from his groin injury. The other two, Callum Wilson and Adam Federici, who are sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury and a knee injury respectively, are pretty much out of the season.
Swansea City- Paul Clement will have a number of doubts going into the tricky fixture against Bournemouth. The Swans are expected to run late fitness tests on Kyle Naughton and Martin Olsson. The right-back has incurred a hamstring injury. While Olsson had a leg injury.
Long-term injuries feature Nathan Dyer and Angel Rangel, who are out for the season.
Predicted line-ups
Bournemouth (4-2-3-1)- Boruc; Daniels, Cook, Francis, Smith; Gosling, Arter; Pugh, King, Fraser; Afobe
Swansea City (4-1-4-1)- Fabianski; Kingsley, Mawson, Fernandez, Amat; Cork; Sigurdsson, Fer, Carroll, Routledge; Ayew
Key Players
Bournemouth- Joshua King is in the form of his life at the moment. He has scored four goals in the last two games and there is a high chance he would tick the scoresheet this time too. He has now scored 11 goals in 27 outings. Wilson and Stanislas have been regular scorers for Howe and their absence would have to be filled by Ryan Fraser. The 23-year-old has registered five assists till now.
Swansea City- Fernando Llorente has handed a huge boost to Clement having recovered from a leg injury and will be raring to go against the Cherries. Jordan Ayew could be a dangerous forward for Bournemouth, but the French international has failed to impress this season.
Gylfi Sigurdsson will undoubtedly be Swansea’s best option up front. He got the assist for the only goal last game and fans would hope their star player work’s his magic again.
