Wes Foderingham: 7
The Englishman did well to keep out Celtic’s efforts as he did not allow them to run away with the game. His efforts paid off as his side managed to score a late equaliser.
Lee Hodson: 6
Was often troubled by Sinclair’s dribbling. Offered little in attack, concentrated more in defending against the likes of Sinclair, Armstrong and Dembele.
Clint Hill: 7
The veteran used his experience to contain the Celtic attackers and was in the right place at right time on most occasions. Mistimed a few tackles and brought down Griffiths inside the box towards the end. Although the referee waved the play on, it looked like an extremely close call. Nevertheless, he scripted Rangers’ comeback after picking up a loose ball and smashing it into the back of the net in the closing minutes.
Danny Wilson: 7
Wilson did well in defence as he blocked down few efforts, made a number of crucial blocks and interceptions.
Lee Wallace: 6
Wallace offered little in attack but played well defensively. Did well to contain the likes of Forrest and Roberts on most occasions.
James Tavernier: 7.5
He played on the right-hand side of Rangers’ midfield and impressed with his forward runs and attacking intent. Played a big part in Rangers’ equaliser.
Jason Holt: 6
Worked hard in midfield but was at fault in Celtic’s first-half goal as he failed to clear the danger on the right-hand side of the box that led to the Bhoys’ opener.
Emerson Hyndman: 8
The American had an excellent Old Firm Derby as he worked tirelessly to keep possession in midfield and form attacks for the forwards. He had a huge influence in Rangers’ equaliser when Hill scored from close range as his thunderous strike was saved by Gordon only to push it out in Hill’s path and the veteran made no mistake to put it into the back of the net.
Martyn Waghorn: 7
Came close to find the net twice in the game but was denied by Gordon spectacularly. Struggled to get into the game since the break and was taken off towards the end to be replaced with O’Halloran.
Kenny Miller: 7
Miller was mostly isolated throughout the game but managed to fire a bouncing cross straight to Waghorn in the second half. Though the later could not beat past the custodian with a first-time strike.
Barrie McKay: 5
The winger had a quiet afternoon as he failed to impress from the flanks and was vastly unnoticed before being subbed off.
Substitutes
Josh Windass: 6
Windass did well to link up with the attackers and instigated a few counter movements.
Harry Forrester: 6.5
Came in place of Holt towards the end and impressed.
Michael O’Halloran: 6
Came late in place of Waghorn. Offered too little to warrant a rating.
