Although Leicester City are the clear favourites to win the game against League One side Millwall, both the teams come to the match with different form. While Leicester have lost four of their last five games, Millwall will approach the clash with more confidence as they are riding on the back of three consecutive wins in the domestic league.
Team News
Millwall- team selection will be tricky for Millwall boss Neil Harris. He is spoilt for a choice on that front as he has to make late decisions on a number of players ahead of the FA Cup clash. Ben Thompson and Lee Gregory are doubts for the game as they are recovering from hamstring and calf problems respectively. Shaun Hutchinson returned to full training this week having missed the last six games with a calf injury.
Promotion still remains the first priority for Harris and he will have an eye on the League One fixture at home against Chesterfield the following Tuesday. They are unbeaten in the last 10 games and they would like to keep the record intact.
Leicester City- The Leicester boss will name a strong line-up to play although the he has to make some changes here and there. With the Champions League fixture in the midweek and Premier League fixture in the weekend, the manager is expected to rest some key players for the game.
The only injury is to forward Leonardo Ulloa and even if he wasn’t sidelined, we don’t quite expect him to play under Ranieri after the club decided not to sell him despite the player handing in a transfer request. Demarai Gray and Wilfred Ndidi could again get a chance to impress in the attacking midfield and on the wings.
Predicted Line-ups
Millwall- Archer, Cummings, Webster, Cooper, Craig; Onyedinma, Thompson, Williams, O’Brien; Gregory, Morison
Leicester City- Zieler; Amartey, Wasilewski, Benalouane, Chilwell; King, Mendy; Albrighton, Kapustka, Gray; Musa
Key Players
Millwall- It will be a huge match for Lee Gregory. The English forward has scored 11 goals in his 24 appearances and fans would expect him to cause a major upset. Same will be expected from secondary striker Steve Morison.
Leicester City- Musa will spearhead Leicester’s attack and Ranieri will be banking on him to get the job done and have an upper hand early in the game. Marc Albrighton will have the responsibility to see this match through as he is expected to pull the strings from the right wing.
