Liverpool are ready to table a bid for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette. Lyon are ready to cash in on the player who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal.
The Gunners have been chasing the player from last season and the French club had rejected a bid of €35m for the player last summer. Lacazette who came through the academy of Lyon has been a phenomenon for the club and has scored 118 goals for them.
Liverpool are mulling an alternative option for Daniel Sturridge who is having a disastrous campaign. The England international’s knack of getting injured has reportedly become a growing concern at Anfield and Jürgen Klopp might offload him in the next transfer window.
The Reds have been playing without a proper striker for most of the season as Klopp has been using a 4-3-3 formation with Roberto Firmino as the false nine.
But with Liverpool expected to be in Europe next season, he needs to have a typical fox in the box striker and the Frenchman fits the bill perfectly.
