Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that there will be additions to the squad in the next transfer window. Liverpool didn’t make a single signing in January.
The Reds were linked with a number of players by the media but didn’t sign a single player. Their pursuit of a left-back seemed to be hurting them a lot as midfielder James Milner has been used as the makeshift left back.
The Reds are currently in La Manga as they are enjoying a conditioning camp there. The Merseyside club are currently fifth with 49 points and might not finish in the top four to earn a Champions League spot next season. But Klopp thinks finishing outside the top four won’t be a problem in attracting new players.
“We are in talks with different people – players, agents, all that stuff.
“Not a lot of decisions have been already made at this point. Why should they at this stage?
“But we are on the way. At the end I’m sure we will have a really good squad.
“We already have a good squad and a few more good players will make it even better. There’s a good base.”
