Jürgen Klopp believes Liverpool can still finish in the top four. They are currently fifth in the Premier League.
An awful start to 2017 dropped the Reds down to fifth. Klopp’s side were once touted as one of the potential title contenders. After enduring a difficult start to the New Year, they are back in the business with a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Sadio mane uplifted the Reds’ spirits with a sublime performance as he scored the both goals to inject some life in their chase for the top four.
With just one point separating them from Arsenal and Tottenham, Jürgen Klopp’s side have to maintain their form to finish in the top four.
Klopp said, “When there are 200 yards left of a long race, you cannot think about the finish, you can’t think: ‘What happens if I’m not on the podium?’ You have to go for it. You have to get over that finish line and then look back to see who is behind you. That’s the situation we’re in.
“We are in the race. Nothing has been decided until now.
“It’s probably easier to go through to the next round from the group stage of the Champions League than it is to qualify in the first place in England.
“Our position is absolutely okay. We have to use it.”
