Brendan Rodgers and Jürgen Klopp have the exact same record after their first 54 Premier League matches. They both have 26 wins, 16 draws and 12 defeats after 54 matches. Klopp replaced Rodgers when he was sacked by the Merseyside club last season. Rodgers was appointed as the managers of Celtic and the Hoops are right now are leading the table with 27 points.
Klopp guided Liverpool to two Cup finals in his maiden season at the Anfield and started the current season in spectacular fashion.
Klopp’s side emerged as title candidates and were top of the table in November as they produced some scintillating attacking displays in the first few months.
However, they haven’t kicked on in the second half of the season and have slipped down to fifth in the table.
The Reds haven’t recorded a single Premier League win in 2017. Rodgers was very close to the Premier League title in 2013-14 but ultimately finished second in the title race. Unless results improve for Klopp, Liverpool are unlikely to match the second-place finish they managed under the Ulsterman a few seasons ago.
