Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata reportedly has told Real Madrid that he is joining Chelsea in the summer. Morata hasn’t been playing regularly for the Spanish giants.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and has started only six games in La Liga this season. Conte was very eager to bring one of his trusted players to Stamford Bridge and did make a bid for him in the summer.
With Diego Costa’s future in doubt, the gaffer has been searching for a suitable striker who can match his demands. Morata had played under Conte when he was in Juventus and the Italian trainer knows him well.
The Spanish striker is believed to have made contact with the Blues for a possible transfer. Morata has barely played for Madrid this season and wants to go to a club where he can find regular football.
At only 24 years, he will be a great signing for the Blues who are running away with the League title.
