Juventus are reportedly ready to listen offers for their star defender Leonardo Bonucci and Antonio Conte is ready to use this chance to bring the player to Stamford Bridge. Conte has been chasing the player for the past few months.
A bid in the region of £42m would be enough to tempt the player for a move to London. The 29-year-old had played under Conte for Italy and the latter would love to reunite with one of his trusted defenders.
Chelsea are currently playing three at the back and Bonucci is capable of playing in that formation. Conte utilised the formation very successfully in Euro 2016.
Juventus are considering using Daniele Rugani and Mattia Caldara as the first choice centre-back partnership next season. Rugani is regarded as one of the most promising defenders in Italy while Caldara has been excellent for Atalanta this season.
Should Bonucci move to Chelsea it will be a huge boost for them as they are expected to participate in the Champions League next season and go deep in the competition.
