Antonio Conte is contemplating a move for Lazio forward Keita Balde. Conte is expected to spend heavily in summer to bolster his team as they will be playing in Champions League football next season.
Manchester United had been linked with the youngster earlier. The 21-year-old was a part of Senegal’s AFCON campaign and played in the quarter-final defeat to Cameroon. Balde has scored six goals this season which has caught the attention of many clubs.
Balde’s current deal runs until 2018 and a host of clubs including AC Milan and Juventus are ready to take the player. Lazio are currently sixth in the Serie A and the youngster has emerged as a key figure this season.
The Italian club have put a price tag of £26m on him and might offload the player if they get a better offer. Conte is adamant to add another striker beside Diego Costa and will have to beat the Italian clubs to entice the player to Stamford Bridge.
