Moses (8/10)– He was the catalyst to Chelsea’s opening goal in the opening minutes. Used his pace and brute strength to create problems on the flank but to little avail.
Kante (9/10)– Covered almost the entire field throughout the game. His work rate is the key to Chelsea’s success this season without a doubt. On a day when the other midfielder lost his touch, he needed to double his duty. And he did exactly that.
Matic (6/10)– Was one of his worst performances in the last two seasons. Had to be subbed early as he exposed Chelsea’s back line quite a few times. Hopefully, he will get his confidence back soon.
Alonso (7/10)– It would be wrong to state that he didn’t try. Burnley was a different challenge altogether and Alonso was definitely not up for it. His runs up and down the flank remained ineffective throughout the game.
Pedro (7/10)– As has always been the case with the Spaniard, he starts the game brilliantly often and then loses his way as the game progress. Today was nothing different. His finish was outstanding but he struggles to keep pace with the game.
Hazard (7.5/10)– Tried to create things up and used his body exceptionally at times to escape the man marking, but it mostly resulted in nothing.
Costa (7/10)– It was clearly not his day. He specializes in receiving the ball and smashing it home but Burnley simply didn’t give him space in dangerous positions to work his magic.
