The Blue brigade was stopped at Turf Moor after a stunning Robby Brady free-kick brought the Clarets on level terms since the early and perhaps the only mistake by Burnley defense throughout the game saw Chelsea taking the lead.
Antonio Conte saw his men running out of ideas as Burnley’s back line grew stronger and steeper for the likes of Costa, Pedro and Hazard.
The Best And The Worst Chelsea Players Rated From Their Disappointing Draw Vs Burnley
Courtois (8.5/10)– A man of the match performance by the Belgian. While he could do very little to keep Brady’s free-kick out, he made some match winning saves against Lowton and Gray.
He had done the same against Arsenal, showing exactly why Chelsea should win the title.
Azpilicueta (7/10)– Although he made some good passes while Chelsea were on the attack, he had a difficult time defending.
The physicality of Barnes was too much for him to handle at times, thereby jeopardizing the defense.
Luiz (7.5/10)– Could hardly affect Burnley’s spirit. Was up for the task whenever the Clarets arrived at dangerous positions and was part of Chelsea’s scrappy defending.
Cahill (8/10)– He was the best of the lot in Chelsea’s back line. Immense pressure from Burnley’s attack seems to have brought the best out of him.
