Roberto Martinez believes Antonio Conte is the main reason behind Victor Moses’s resurgence this season.
Moses hadn’t been impressive during his past outings with the Blues as he spent a brief period on loan at various clubs including Liverpool, West Ham and Stoke. But Since Antonio Conte started to deploy him as the right wing-back, the Nigerian international has reinvented himself.
The African has started 18 games this season and has bagged three goals. His excellent form has attracted a number of clubs including the likes of Barcelona.
The Belgium manager said, “That’s down to Antonio Conte. He’s found what system could suit Victor Moses, a player who I’ve seen play a lot.
“When he runs with the ball, his technical his ability is world class.
“When he gets into the final third his decision-making is not as clean as other players but I think he’s suiting this system.
“Victor Moses has got the stamina to do the job which is very difficult to find in a quality player.
“It’s been a long journey – four or five years – but now it’s coming.”
