Despite getting thrashed by Bayern Munich, both Arsenal and Arsene Wenger are willing to wait till summer to come to a decision. This is Wenger’s last year as per the current contract.
According to reports, Wenger has been offered a new two-year deal but he is yet to sign the contract. The veteran gaffer has been managing the club since 1996 but hasn’t been able to win the most coveted Champions League trophy.
Owner Stan Kroenke has always been very supportive towards the French manager and the contract offer could be his personal effort to keep the manager at the club for a few more years.
There has been speculation regarding his replacements with Eddie Howe and Massimiliano Allegri as the potential candidates but the Gunners haven’t made any approach till now.
It is also reported that any deal between Wenger and the club would be a mutual agreement as the club probably want to make sure that things don’t go out of hand.
