Lucas Perez has dismissed the rumours of him leaving Arsenal. The striker has been linked with a move out from Emirates.
Perez was a summer signing from Deportivo La Coruna but hasn’t featured in too many games. He scored Arsenal’s opener against Sutton United as the Gunners cruised to the next round of the FA Cup. Perez’s future is in doubt as reports have emerged that the striker is not satisfied with his role at the club.
Wenger has preferred Alexis Sanchez in the centre-forward role this season but after the FA Cup match, the gaffer admitted that the player is ready for more chances in the starting lineup.
Perez said, “It was still quite a change for me to get used to the English league when I moved here from Spain.
“Players are all different, so some take longer to adapt than others.
“Now I feel really comfortable and I’ve fitted in well to the team – that’s particularly important for a player.”
