Stoke City are currently in the 9th spot but have seen a lot of ups and downs already this season and overall will be happy with their current position in the table. Mark Hughes hasn’t been able to effect the transformation he has been planning for such a long time now and that would surely be a blow but they have moved onto Plan B and will look to remain in the Top 10. It will be difficult but with the right moves, possible.
But it is unlikely that he will have the company of former Barcelona player Bojan, as they look to undertake this journey from here on till the end of the season. The Spaniard has failed to settle properly at the Bet 365 Stadium and having lost his starting spot, is said to be open to a move. The Premier League could not really see him at his best and fans would be hoping he ends up at one of the English clubs to have another shot at success in England.
Let us take a look at 3 possible destinations for Bojan.
MIDDLESBROUGH
The most likely club as he has been strongly being linked with a move to the Riverside Stadium. Karanka has shown he will be continuing his aggressive streak in the transfer market. After signing Bamford and Gestede, he is said to be looking to sign Bojan as the creative player behind the plethora of strikers he has at his disposal now. With Ramirez the subject of some speculation, the move for Bojan makes increasing sense.
WEST BROMWICH ALBION
The Baggies have tweaked their tactics this season and have gone on the offensive. It has paid off till now and Tony Pulis has been encouraged to continue on this path. The likes of Chadli, Phillips and Rondon have been impressive but with Saido Berahino expected to make an exit this window, a replacement is being considered and while Bojan might not be a like for like replacement, he will bolster their adventurous attacking line considerably.
CRYSTAL PALACE
Sam Allardyce’s start to life at the Selhurst Park hasn’t gone to plan till now and with 2 goals scored other than the FA Cup replay against Bolton, there have been questions raised regarding their attacking line. And Townsend, in particular, has come under the scanner and it is said he has failed to impress the manager and might make a move out of the club. Bojan would bring in a different dimension to the attack and will be a canny addition if Big Sam does exercise this option.
