Tottenham Hotspur are a team on the rise. They are thriving under an excellent guardianship of Mauricio Pochettino in the Premier League with a certain unmatchable chivalry which sets them apart. The Lilywhites showed their unparalleled resilience and indomitable spirit once again against Manchester City as they came back from a couple of goals down to salvage a point at the Etihad Stadium. They appear to be a unit who can impose a serious challenge to Chelsea and the other big boys for clinching the prestigious silverware.
However, it also needs to be underlined that the North London based outfit does have a dearth in their attacking arsenal. Harry Kane has been their prime force up front and has been shouldering responsibilities all alone to lead the line.
Vincent Janssen hasn’t fired up in his outings, and thus there is an undeniable need to sign a frontman going into the business end of the league. Apparently, Spurs have been linked with Málaga’s striker, Sandro Ramírez Castillo to bolster their chances to win the title by adding quality up front.
Sandro is one of the brightest talents to have come out of Barcelona’s setup. He is a striker with clinical goal scoring traits, someone who can not only bang in goals but create many as well. The 21-year-old is a typical no. 9, much like Harry Kane, who can engineer himself in the right areas at the apt moments, and can stay perfectly on the edge of the offside line to ensure that he could pounce on almost every opportunity placed before him. Let’s not forget to appreciate his versatility of playing on the wings very efficiently as well.
So far this season in the La Liga, Sandro has garnered 17 appearances, scoring 7 goals, assisting on 1 occasion and creating 14 chances as well. He has learned and bettered what he knew at Barcelona and has taken his aura to Málaga, and has thus drawn a lot of attention from the football fraternity. The White Hart Lane is echoing for a prolific striker to provide a good cover for Kane, something which Janssen has failed to cater to.
At Spurs, Pochettino has been conventionally using a lone striker up front which implies that an injury to Kane would put their title challenge in a serious jeopardy. Sandro should be a safe bet for the Argentine gaffer to strengthen his line-up and to add a sharp attacking tooth up front. Spurs have been interested in him for a long time and it a move that has remained due for a long time. So, isn’t this transfer window the best time to get him?
