After weeks of speculation regarding a move away from the club, Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass has finally chosen his next destination in London club West Ham United, according to reports.
It is really unfortunate for Hull City to lose their best player as the Tigers were finally beginning to hint at a turnaround. The new manager, Marco Silva has been quite active in the transfer window and with numerous players coming in on loan, a departure was more or less imminent. The Tigers defeated Manchester United in their midweek EFL fixture and although they got ousted from the tournament, it was a tremendously inspiring stuff from the players.
Although Lazar Markovic’s inclusion will compensate for some of the huge void left by Snodgrass, Silva is definitely making his move for someone to plug the gaps by the departure.
Here are 3 replacements, the Portuguese should opt to sign-
MODOU BARROW
First team action seems to be a distant dream for him after the new manager Paul Clement took charge of the club. Although the 24-year-old has failed to make any sort of impact this season, he broke into the scene for his almost impeccable crossing. His knack for taking long shots at goal will suit the new-found adventure in Hull’s gameplay.
Barrow came up through the ranks of Swedish sides Real de Banjul FC, Östers IF, Mjölby AI FF. IFK Norrköping, Varbergs BoIS and Östersunds FK before Swansea bought him in 2014. It is believed that Barrow has a £5million minimum fee release clause and Hull City will look to trigger it.
FLORIAN JOZEFZOON
The PSV Eindhoven winger is struggling for a regular place in the squad. The 25-year-old has been handed merely 5 outings so far, this term and he looks quite desperate to move out of the club. The former Dutch U19 and U21 could be an interesting player to have on the flanks and has a knack for scoring goals.
His sudden burst of pace and ability to dribble past opponents have been heavily underused at his current club and Silva looks like the perfect manager to bring out the best in him. His contract at the Dutch club expires this summer and Hull could really get him for a cut-price deal.
LEON BAILEY
Given how Marco Silva has got all his transfer targets this January, Hull fans will be really hoping that he gets this one done. Hull are planning to make a £10.3million swoop for the Genk midfielder despite strong interests from Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 19-year-old has scored six goals in 18 league games for Genk this season so far and is touted by many to be a great player in the future. At 19, he has plenty of room for improvement and Hull seems like the perfect platform.
