We can expect a wild encounter between two London giants on Wednesday when Spurs take on Chelsea at White Hart Lane. Chelsea have looked unstoppable since they got thrashed by Arsenal 3-0 back in September managing to culminate a 13-game unbeaten streak.
They are in touching distance of Arsenal’s record of consecutive Premier League wins but the job is easier said than done. Tottenham Hotspur have turned around a corner in recent weeks after a sloppy start to the season and are in their best possible form and have what it takes to stun the Blues’ exceptional run.
No team have come close to find the formula to stop Chelsea since they switched to the 3-4-3 formation but Stoke City did give them a hard run for their money on Saturday as they came back from behind twice.
Meanwhile, Spurs are on the back of four straight wins and absolutely thrashed Watford in the last game. All things added up, we could see a cracker of a match on Wednesday when the two London giants collide.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Lineup Vs Chelsea
Defence
Hugo Lloris will obviously keep his place under the bar. The Tottenham Hotspur skipper is one of the best in his role not only in the Premier League but also in the world. He will know that it could be a busy day for him and he has to come out on top to lead his side to victory.
Kieran Trippier had an excellent game against Watford setting up two goals in Kyle Walker’s absence but will be the unlucky man to make way for Walker who has been brilliant throughout this season.
Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen will pair up at central defence.
At left-back, it will be Danny Rose who will be looking to create menace on his forward surges.
