Leicester City have fallen from grace this season after a freak last season. Their astounding dip this season means that they now have to worry about saving themselves first and the 40-point mark will be the immediate target. The Foxes managed to clinch a vital 1-0 win against West Ham on the New Year’s Eve and will be keen to get another win to start the New Year 2017 on a high.
Leicester City will travel to the Riverside Stadium on Monday to take on Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough. It is 15th placed Leicester City vs 16th placed Boro on Monday evening and another win for the Foxes will be able to give them some breathing space.
Boro will be gutted after surrendering a 1-0 lead against Manchester United on Saturday to lose the game 2-1 and will be looking to shock the inconsistent Foxes and leapfrog them.
Claudio Ranieri’s men have found it difficult to deliver any sort of consistency like they did last term and it’s seen them spend the entirety of the season in the bottom half. A few wins back to back could take them into the top half considering everybody outside top six have been inconsistent. Here is the predicted Leicester City lineup against Middlesbrough.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Leicester City Lineup Vs Middlesbrough
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will be on duty under the bar.
Skipper Wes Morgan and Robert Huth will pair up at the heart of the defence.
Danny Simpson will start at right-back and young Ben Chilwell will be keen to keep impressing at left-back. Boro are not the best team when it comes to breaking down opponents’ defence and Ranieri will demand a clean sheet from his back four.
