Nottingham Forest haven’t had a good campaign in the 2016-17 Sky Bet Championship so far and have lately been crumbling like a house of cards lately owing to their helpless form in the league. They are placed nineteenth in the league table and are merely five points ahead of Wigan Athletic who are 22nd (the first of the three relegation spots) with a game in hand. The Reds have a mammoth task ahead of them considering the crunch fixtures that await them.
There are just a couple of days now before the transfer window shuts and interim manager Gary Brazil needs to make a final push to ensure they have a healthy chance of survival. Besides, Wigan Athletic are slowly but surely building momentum and have registered two league wins on trot which makes the situation trickier for Forest. Apparently, reports have emerged that Nottingham Forest are all set to sign Aston Villa sensation, Aaron Tshibola on loan for the remainder of the season to solve their woes, well, at least for the short term.
Tshibola is one of the shining starlets to blossom from the Reading youth system, having played 16 games in their senior side last season as well, but then he suffered a hamstring injury which kept him out for the rest of the season owing to the fact that he had to undergo a surgery.
However, he was lured to Villa Park in the summer transfer window in a deal worth £5 million from Reading and the young lad was given a lot of recognition under the stewardship of Roberto Di Matteo. But ever since Steve Bruce took charge, he has seen opportunities pretty hard to come by and now that the Villans have signed a formidable campaigner like Henri Lansbury, it is seemingly unlikely that the Tshibola is going to be used this season.
A move to the City Ground for the rest of the season shouldn’t be a bad idea for a player who is in the dire need to accumulate first team experience under his belt. The former England U18 player does have a lot of energy and tenacity, tackles very well and would be a long-term solution to Aston Villa’s Mike Jedinak. With a loan move, he will have the chance to bolster his credentials, Villa will have the opportunity to see his improvement and Forest would be getting a huge asset for the remainder of the season.
