Henrikh Mkhitaryan has praised Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. Klopp earlier managed the Armenian when the two was at Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp left Dortmund last season to take the helm of Liverpool. The Merseyside club will take on Manchester United on Sunday which will be the 500th Premier League match between them.
Mkhitaryan was one of the summer signings of Jose Mourinho. The playmaker arrived at Old Trafford for a fee of £26m.
Klopp and Mkhitaryan worked together at the Signal Iduna Park before the German decided to join the Premier League. Mkhitaryan also left for England in the following season and the 27-year-old set to face his former coach for the first time.
He said, “They’ve improved a lot from last year with Jurgen Klopp.
“He’s one of the greatest coaches and he can bring the team to a new level.
“His team are playing very interesting football and I think it’s going to be a nice game.
“I think he’s doing very well, he gives confidence to the players and takes the best out of the players. That’s what he does very well.”
