Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is targeting the EFL Cup final as his next destination. United are scheduled to take on Hull City on Thursday in the EFL Cup Semifinal second Leg.
United were victorious in the first leg with a healthy margin of 2-0. Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini were on target as the Reds took the advantage of the home comfort.
If United manage to get the better of Hull City, they will be in the final which will be played at Wembley next month. Rooney recently etched his name in the history books after scoring the 250th goal for Manchester United. He is expected to be in the starting lineup when United will face Hull.
He said, “I think the next thing is the League Cup, we want to win it. The final’s in February and we’ve got a game on Thursday night to try and get there.
“Every trophy is great to win in football and it’s obviously the next one we can win so that’s the focus, certainly on Thursday. We’re still in every competition we’ve entered this season. The Premier League will obviously be tough but in the competitions we’re in we feel we’ve got a good enough squad to push for those titles.”
