Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has insisted that he is aware of the importance of the Liverpool match and won’t let anyone down. United are set to face Liverpool on Sunday in a very exciting clash.
Despite being the better team on the day, the Reds were held to a goalless draw by United at Anfield last time. Mkhitaryan didn’t feature in that match but expected to be in the starting lineup at the Old Trafford match today.
Jose Mourinho’s side comes into the game with a six-match winning streak in the Premier League. A win will move them within two points of second-placed Liverpool.
The Reds haven’t won their last three matches and will be very eager to register their first win in 2017.
Mkhitaryan who scored the winner against Tottenham Hotspur said, “Everyone is waiting for Sunday’s game.
“I know the importance of this game. I know, very well, the history.
“It’s not the first time I’m going to play in such a derby and you have to be ready that day. We need the three points.”
