According to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he has conquered England after just three months. The Swedish striker made all the headlines since his arrival to Manchester United this summer.
The former Sweden International has scored 18 goals with 13 in the Premier League. He is right now only one behind Chelsea’s Diego Costa in terms of goals scored. Manchester United made a rather slow start but have picked the pace and are right now on a ninth match winning streak. The Red Devils are considering to trigger a clause in Zlatan’s contract that will keep him at Old Trafford for another year.
Not only as a player Zlatan has been an inspiration to youngsters like Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. The 35-year-old has stated rather than targeting individual honours, his sole target is to win the Premier League for United.
“No, I’m not chasing anybody. I’m chasing the head trophy – the Premier League. That is my aim. The individual things come as part of the main objective because that is like a bonus for every individual player.
“If the collective does well, then the individuals will do well. I try to help the team and try to do what I’m best at – scoring goals, playing good and creating chances for my team-mates. As long as I can do that, I know I will help my team. The same thing with them, they help me the way they can for the team. I have no individual targets because that I did already, after three months in England. After I conquered England – it took three months.”
