Manchester United have reportedly offered Antoine Griezman the same wage what Paul Pogba is currently getting. Manchester United officials have reportedly had a chat with the French international and have assured him that he would be the joint top earners if he does join United.
Pogba currently earns a massive £220,000 per week after tax and is right now the highest paid player at Manchester United.
United are ready to trigger Griezmann’s £86m release clause who has been a long-term target for Jose Mourinho.
With uncertainty looming over Wayne Rooney’s future Mourinho wants to replace him with Griezmann.
Griezman has netted 10 goals in all competition for Atletico Madrid this season. Memphis Depay currently holds the no 7 jersey for the Red Devils.
But with Depay set to leave he could be the next no 7 for United emulating the likes of David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo.
