Michael Carrick has insisted that Manchester United have to be prepared for the upcoming matches as they have a lot to play for.
United are currently competing in four competitions – FA Cup, EFL Cup, Premier League and Europa League. They are also enjoying a 16-match unbeaten run and will be looking forward to making it 17 when they will face Stoke City on Sunday in the league.
Michael Carrick has been an important part of Jose Mourinho’s tactics this season. United haven’t lost a match this season when Carrick has played for them. Carrick alongside with Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera have been a revelation in the United midfield.
The veteran midfielder said, “I tell you what, at this point of the season, to be in all competitions, I’d snap your hand off – that’s where you want to be.
“There’s no way you complain about playing too many games because playing a lot of games means you’ve got a lot to play for and that’s exactly where we want to be.
“There’s loads to play for this season, challenging on different fronts with different opportunities in different competitions, so it’s where we want to be and we look forward to the end of the season.”
