Crystal Palace have expressed their interest in Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho. The French defender has been frozen by Jurgen Klopp this season.
Sakho has been attracting from a number of clubs with Swansea, West Bromwich Albion and Southampton among the interested parties. Liverpool are reluctant on a loan deal and will reportedly sell the defender if any club matches his price tag of £20m.
Sakho has mostly appeared for the Liverpool U-23’s his season. He was sent home from the Reds’ pre-season tour of the USA due to disciplinary problems.
Sam Allardyce is reportedly very keen to rope in the player. He recently signed Jeffrey Schlupp from Leicester City for £12m and is ready to make his second signing of this winter.
Sakho reportedly has been left out of the U23’s squad. The Merseyside club have been searching a potential buyer for him. Palace are struggling at the 17th place and are fighting to save themselves from relegation.
