AC Milan keeper Diego Lopez is focused despite being linked with Chelsea. The keeper is currently plying his trade at Espanyol on loan.
With Gianluigi Donnarumma currently being the first choice keeper at Milan, the 35-year-old was loaned to his native country. Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic is expected to join Bournemouth and Antonio Conte is very desperate to add a keeper in this window.
Lopez had a bagful of experience and could be a handful at Stamford Bridge. The ex-Real Madrid keeper had been very good for the La Liga side and might reject a transfer for more regular game time.
The Spaniard said, “It affects me positively. This kind of news is good for me because it’s a recognition of my job.
“But beyond that I am calm and focus on Espanyol until the 30th of June.
“Nothing is going to happen until 30 June and from there AC Milan and Espanyol will have to give a step forward but I have repeated what I want.
“If Espanyol want me they already know my intentions but they will need to reach an agreement [with Milan].
“At times, we are a bit selfish but I am honest and I thank the club because they had confidence on me in a difficult moment.”
