Jurgen Klopp has criticised Liverpool’s defence after their 3-2 defeat to Swansea. Liverpool are yet to win a Premier League match in 2017. They drew their previous two matches against Sunderland and United.
Fernando Llorente scored a brace and Gylfi Sigurdsson was on target as Swansea humiliated Liverpool at Anfield. Roberto Firmino scored both goals for the Reds.
Llorente scored two quick goals in a span of four minutes to give an edge to the Wales-based club but Firmino had some other plans. The Brazilian scored two well-taken goals to put Liverpool back in the game.
Sigurdsson scored the winner in the 74th minutes to pile more misery on the Reds. Klopp said, “We had to stay patient. We had three, four, five moments where we could have scored – but we didn’t.
“In the first half we lacked that last punch.
“But the most disappointing part was their third goal. I have no explanation for it
“There were four of five possibilities to make a challenge and at the end one guy is free in our box, and that makes no sense.”
