Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam has rejected a new contract, according to reports. Ghoulam has been a long-term target of Antonio Conte.
The Italian has been using a more attacking 3-4-3 with Marcos Alonso deployed as the left wing back. The 25-year old has reportedly turned down the latest offer from the club what is believed to be around £30,000 a week, almost double to his current wage.
But the player has been holding off a new contract as he has been demanding wage in the region of £40,000 a week.
Ghoulam has been very crucial to Napoli’s season so far who have lost only three matches this season.
The Algerian has just 18 months on his contract and an offer could be on the way to the Italian club from the Blues.
Napoli have reportedly rejected an offer from Bayern Munich and are very adamant to keep their prized asset at the club.
