Chelsea are preparing a staunch bid for West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet. The French midfielder has handed a transfer request to the club recently and is refusing to play for the Hammers.
Arturo Vidal has been a long-term target but Carlo Ancelotti has no interest in selling him. After failing to land Vidal, Conte has now turned his attention to Payet, although they are two different players. The French midfielder expressed his unhappiness despite signing a new contract worth £125,000 a week recently.
Chelsea sold Oscar and John Obi Mikel to China and Conte is looking to spend the money received to add reinforcements. The Hammers rejected a bid of £20m from his previous club Marseille and at least want to coup a minimum of £35m for the playmaker. Chelsea got a huge £60m selling Oscar to Shanghai SIPG and could use the money to entice the player to Stamford Bridge.
Payet has a deal running until 2021 and Slaven Bilic will try his best to keep the player at the club as West Ham are reeling in the 13th position.
