Chelsea midfielder Marco Van Ginkel has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club till 2019. The 24-year-old joined the club from Vitesse Arnhem in 2013 but has featured in only two Premier League matches so far.
Ginkel spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV and scored eight goals in 13 Eredivisie appearances en route to helping PSV to win the Eredivisie title.
The Dutch Champions were hoping to bring him back from the start of this season but a knee injury forced them to delay the proceedings.
He will now join the club for the rest of this season. The midfielder has played this season only for the Chelsea u-23s.
The Dutch club apparently wanted to sign him permanently from Chelsea but Antonio Conte is very reluctant to let go one of the most promising players and that’s why the West London Club decided to offer the player an extension.
