John Terry is still Chelsea’s leader, according to Kurt Zouma. Back to back injuries had forced the veteran defender to have limited appearances this season.
Both Zouma and Terry featured in the 4-1 win against Peterborough in the FA Cup. The French defender returned to the team after spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a torn ligament while Terry started his first game for the Blues this year but it proved to be a disaster as the Chelsea captain got the marching order from the referee for a foul on Lee Angol.
Antonio Conte has already made it clear that they would appeal against the red card as he thinks it was too harsh for the 36-year-old.
Zouma said, “He just keeps going “Ever since I arrived he has been he always gave me good advice.
“It’s advice on everything, about the position of a striker, about tactics, about everything.
“He just keeps going, he has been the man who has led Chelsea for a while you know.
“And he’s still there, leading the club, the boys. So John is just the captain, an amazing captain.”
