Tom Davies: 8.5/10
Davies was terrific and thrilling, kept the home side lively in the middle and scored Toffees’ third goal. He just needs to keep some calm and not over commit, doesn’t he?
Gareth Barry: 7.5/10
Gareth Barry did what Gareth Barry does the best, i.e., providing subtleness, composure and an undeniable influence in the middle. The captain toiled really hard in shielding Koeman’s defence as well.
Kevin Mirallas: 8/10
Mirallas was a livewire up the pitch, assisting Romelu Lukaku for Everton’s first goal and then himself scoring a stupendous one.
Ross Barkley: 8/10
The Englishman was a treat to watch today as he knitted the side together and kept the pressure on City very much intact. It was good to see Barkley finally stepping up when the team really needed him and he topped it all up with a couple of assists to his name.
Romelu Lukaku: 8/10
The Belgian international buried home a neat finish to earn the opening goal for the home side. What was special to see in him today were his unselfish attitude, defensive contributions and the way he bullied Guardiola’s defence.
