Adomah (5.5/10)- One of the rare poor performers for Villa. Adomah looked quite reluctant in his play, giving away his possession quite often and looked overspent quite soon. It was a frustrating performance from him.
Tshibola (6.5/10)- A very strong display in the midfield by the 22-year-old and his persistence totally inspired everyone else in the team. Showed great determination in going into tackles.
Jedinak (6.5/10)- He added an extra cushion to the Villa defence. A very disciplined display from the midfielder, who did the job of keeping out Tottenham’s attacks from the middle and pushing them to the flanks for the centre-halves to head them away.
It was really effective till the first goal in the 70th minute.
Grealish (7/10)- Had the huge responsibility of making things happen from the attacking midfield role. Although he started on the wings, he fell deep and was the engine for Villa’s attacks.
Looked lively and poured some delicious deliveries from set-pieces.
Bacuna (6/10)- Although he had his moments, they came in after long pauses and very rarely. Hence, he was rendered ineffective most of the times.
He tried to force his way up but had little scope.
Agbonlahor (6.5/10)- He came dangerously close to scoring but was denied superbly by Alderweireld.
He never stopped working hard.
