Arsene Wenger has denied pushing the fourth official after he his marching orders from the Referee.
The incident happened when Burnley were awarded a penalty after Francis Coquelin fouled Ashley Barnes inside the penalty box. Referee Jon Moss didn’t hesitate and indicated to the penalty spot. Andre Gray made no mistake and levelled the score line to the travelling fans’ delight.
Arsene Wenger was seen protesting against the referee’s decision. Moss told Wenger to go to the stands but the French gaffer kept standing in the tunnel. Fourth official Anthony Taylor was trying to send him inside but Wenger had been arguing with the official and also shoved him.
On being asked if he had pushed the fourth official the veteran answered, ” No, no, no.
“I just went in and watched the game here after. I thought I could stay in the corridor
“Myself? I just should have shut up. I apologise for not having done it but that’s it.
“There was nothing malicious I just shouldn’t have said some words and kept my control even if it was a hectic time.”
