Theo Walcott has revealed that Thierry Henry has helped him a lot in his Arsenal career.
Touted as the next ‘Henry’ Walcott had played with the Arsenal record goal scorer at the initial of his Gunners career. The 28-year-old joined Arsenal from Southampton with a lot of potential but has been very inconsistent for the North Londoners.
His best season in the Red and White jersey was in 2012-13 season when he scored 21 goals and laid on 16 more goals. Walcott has shown his glimpse of form this season as he has found the net eight times in the Premier League.
Struggling with a calf injury, the forward is expected to make into the starting lineup when the Gunners will entertain Southampton in the FA Cup.
He said, “Thierry is very honest.
“He has pulled me up a few times and we’ve had just general chats on certain scenarios in matches.
It’s a little bit different now the way people defend and everything.
“But just having him take an interest and actually take his time to do that helps.
“He could just avoid it but the fact he will take his time to actually try and help out is obviously great.”
