Arsenal keeper Petr Cech has admitted that Chelsea are the favourites to win the title this season. Antonio Conte’s men have sitting at the top of the Premier League table for quite a while.
The 34-year-old Czech keeper spent a staggering 11 years at Stamford Bridge. He won a number of trophies including the Premier League. He moved to the other part of London a season ago. The veteran custodian has gone on to impress as he has been the first choice keeper for Arsene Wenger at despite his age.
Chelsea had been unbeaten in the last 13 league matches. The West Londoners were on the verge of breaking Arsenal’s record of most successive wins until they were beaten by Spurs
Cech said, “Well I think any team that wins 13 games in a row deserves huge credit and obviously this is where they are at the moment full of confidence.
“They just had a tricky game in the last game after their first defeat after that long run without dropping points and they managed to win it.
“So their confidence is very high and they obviously have an advantage as well in terms of points.
“But there’s still a long way to go in football and everything can go pretty fast if you are ready to take it.”
