Mesut Ozil is confident that they can get the better of ‘more vulnerable’ Bayern Munich. Arsenal are set to face Bayern Munich in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
Arsenal long wait of winning a European trophy is haunting Ozil. This is the fourth time in the last five seasons that the Gunners are going to face Bayern Munich.
The North Londoners failed to get past of the knockout round for the past six seasons with Bayern knocking them out twice.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern have been not so impressive this season compared to Arsenal’s season so far. The German champions finished second in the Champions League group stage and also failed to create an impact in Bundesliga.
The German playmaker who has been in headlines recently thinks they can outpace the German club, “In football you never know.
“To win the trophy, you have to face the biggest clubs in the world and prove yourself. It is great that we have that chance again.
“Bayern are one of the favourites, in recent years they have played outstanding football.
“This season, they have become more vulnerable. They are not unbeatable – especially this year.”
