Jack Wilshere hasn’t been offered a new contract by Arsenal. The midfielder has a one and a half year left on his current contract.
Wilshere came through the ranks at Arsenal and made his debut in the 2008-09 season. Despite making his debut some time back, he has only featured in 160 matches for the Gunners as his career has been ravaged by injuries.
Arsene Wenger loaned the player to Bournemouth to have some first team game time and he has been doing pretty well for the Cherries.
The England international has played nine full ninety minute games this term for the first time in his career.
Wilshere will have only a year left on his contract when he will return to the Emirates at the end of this season. The versatile midfielder has been in demand as a number of clubs including Manchester City showed interest in the player.
Should Wenger prefer to sell him there won’t be a dearth of suitors for the 25-year-old.
