Arsene Wenger has insisted that everything depends on how his forwards perform in the upcoming matches. The Gunners are scheduled to face Southampton tonight in the FA Cup.
For the first time this season, Wenger has his hands full as all of his forwards are fit. Wenger, who has been suspended by the FA for allegedly pushing the fourth official against Burnley, might hand Danny Welbeck his first start. Welbeck has recovered from a knee injury and is ready to fight for a place in the starting lineup.
Theo Walcott who is also returning after recovering from a calf injury and might get some game time. Wenger hasn’t used Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez and is hoping that the players are ready to give their hundred percent in the remaining matches.
“The player who played the most in our team offensively is basically [Alexis] Sanchez. All the others — Giroud has not played too many games, he is fresh, Walcott is now coming back from a good breather.
“So up front we have Perez who has not played many games. We have plenty of offensive potential who is fresh. It’s now down to me to use them at the right moment when they are in good form and in the right way.”
