Antonio Conte has sarcastically claimed that he is having sleepless nights trying to choose his forwards.
Conte had used Eden Hazard as a makeshift centre-forward in a couple of matches. Generally, the Belgian plays on the left wing but with the absence of Diego Costa Conte started him more up front and the player has lived up to the mark scoring one and assisting one.
However, Diego Costa’s return against Hull City meant that he reclaimed the position upfront and even went on to score the opening goal of the game in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Hull City yesterday.
Victor Moses and Pedro have been turning up the heat this season for the Blues. Pedro’s sparkling performance on the right wing has forced Willian to sit on the bench.
On the other side, Victor Moses’s resurgence in the ongoing season has caught the attention of many clubs. He was linked with Barcelona as Luis Enrique was very keen him to replace Sergi Roberto with him.
Conte said, “To make a decision is not easy because I have four or five players who are very strong in that position.
“They are in good form and they give me different options. I’m pleased about this because when you have many players to choose from it’s good. I’ve been sleeping less so I make the best decision but that’s my task, to pick the best players game by game.”
