Cesc Fabregas has said that he is not happy with his lack of game time this season. The Spanish midfielder has started only five Premier League games this season.
Fabregas arrived at Stamford Bridge two years ago and was one of the masterminds behind their Premier League triumph. The Spaniard has been linked with a couple of clubs but Conte didn’t want to lose the midfielder.
The ex-Barcelona player’s last start came against Stoke City where he assisted two of the four goals scored by the Blues.
With Conte opting for a 3-4-3 formation Fabregas’s s place has been mostly on the bench. The 29-year-old was involved in Chelsea’s second goal against Hull City as Gary Cahill headed home from his free kick.
He said, “I play football to win and enjoy. When I don’t play I’m sad and I don’t enjoy it but I’m happy the team is doing well.
“Football is my life, it’s everything to me. Every time I’m on the pitch I try to do my best.
“In this game it went well again so I just need to keep going and show the manager I deserve to play.”
