Mesut Ozil has refused to rule out a move back to Real Madrid. The German international switched to Arsenal after the departure of Jose Mourinho from Real Madrid in 2013.
He has gone to establish himself as one of the most successful playmakers in the Premier League. Ozil reportedly agreed a new contract but is yet to sign on the dotted line.
The Los Blancos are unable to make any transfer as they are undergoing a transfer ban. Ozil has a contract till 2018 and only a big money offer could tempt Arsenal to sell him.
The German midfielder recently hinted that there might be some twist in coming days, “I am very happy playing in such a big club like Arsenal, which has amazing fans and they also encourage me a lot.
“I am playing very well in London, but in football you never know… We’ll see what happens in the future.
“I miss the times [laughs]. That sun is… there is always sun. I tell you, I have great memories from there, with the club, the city, people.
“Of course, sometimes you stop and think and well, you can miss it. Now I am happy at Arsenal, but you never know what can happen in the future. We will see.”
