Spurs will host lowly-placed Swansea city at White Hart Lane on Saturday. Despite Swansea sitting just one point ahead of bottom of the table Sunderland, they will fancy their chances against Spurs who have struggled of late. The Lilywhites have won just one of their last ten games in all competitions. They saw their unbeaten run in the Premier League being brought to an end by Chelsea last week as they lost 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Swansea, themselves, were in terrible form until the last game but their result last weekend was a pleasant one for the fans. The Swans were involved in a 9-game thriller and finished on the winning side. The game ended 5-4 in favour of the Swans and will be remembered for a long time as one of the most thrilling matches Premier League history.
Swansea will be keen to build on their solid comeback win the last weekend and Spurs’ recent form will be encouraging for them. On the other hand, Spurs have already crashed out of the Champions League and are seven points behind the top of the table Chelsea. Things have to improve really soon if Spurs want to get back in the title race. They have the same total of points (24) they had at this stage last season and should not panic and start backing their own ability.
